This page is created as part of the project JERRI – Joining Efforts for Responsible Research and Innovation

Ziel
JERRI makes a substantial contribution to the dissemination of responsible research and innovation (RRI) in the European Research area. The aim of the project is to systematize the development of the organizations Fraunhofer and TNO in various areas of RRI and to carry out pilot activities in order to anchor social responsibility in decision-making processes and research content. The project is designed as a mutual learning process between Fraunhofer, TNO and other institutions of applied research.

Approach

  • Development of specific RRI goals at Fraunhofer and TNO based on existing good practices – and in close cooperation with stakeholders – for the following dimensions: ethics, gender equality, open access, involvement of society in issues, strategies, and activities of science and scientific education
  • Formulation of an action plan for each dimension and implementation in pilot projects
  • Dissemination of results and lessons learned among other European institutions of applied research and other stakeholders
  • International exchange of good practices with the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Arizona State University (ASU)

Duration
06/2016 – 05/2019
