The offer was designed to on the one hand give a report on news regarding equality of opportunities (activities at Fraunhofer, EU, etc.), on the other hand, explain the social significance of work about equal opportunities and to also raise the awareness for the necessity of equality of opportunities.
Description of Offer/ Action
Regular events with women or men at the institute.
For the implementation, an invitation for such an event was sent and consultation with the head of institute took place.
According to the »Agreement of Implementation on Equal Opportunities«, it is only allowed to offer one event per year. Therefore close coordination with the head of the institute is necessary in case further events are intended to be conducted.
Results and Modes of Action
The awareness for the necessity of equality of opportunities and of hidden discrimination is strengthened. Also, the awareness of the importance of the contribution of all employees (not only the Equal opportunities Officer) is strengthened.

In case of the planning of exclusive women assemblies (which might make sense depending on the topic), a rejection by some men (and women) is expected. This can be countered by an information event »with men«.
